American Babies @ SXSW - Rock the Moby After Party

What can I say? I love the American Babies. Aside from the fact that everyone in the band is shamelessly good looking and super fun to hang out with – these guys are killer musicians. (Not to mention the work harder than any band I’ve ever met!!) They came fresh from the Langerado festival in Florida, low on sleep and high on sunburns (ha ha) – and they still hit it home. Tom Hamilton sat on that stage at Stubbs last night and, as with every performance, put his heart and soul into it. His brother Jim to his left held the sound together with his smooth skills on the bass and lead guitarist Scott just worked the solos up and down. (Not to mention that Scott makes some of the best faces I’ve ever seen when he plays guitar – I always joke with him about it, last night he said “It usually takes me two or three songs to get into it, but I always get there.”) They all got there, together and brought the perfect acoustic country vibe to the Moby after-party. Look out for our video where we follow the Babies for a day in the life of a band at SXSW.
