When I walked into Rob’s office, I thought the last day of the month was a Sunday.
“Hey Rob,” I confidently started, “I’ve got this idea for the last day of the month.”
“I’m listening,” Rob replied, raising an eyebrow with justified caution. (Most of my ideas involve either strange ingredients [i.e. hamster + dynamite, red body latex + matching bell bottoms] or exorbitant amounts of money [$5,000 worth of remote control cars.])
“What if on the last day, I produce a number of webcam videos updating our audience on text message voting? I’ll even invite them to send email messages to the fans and videos telling the audience why to vote for them.”
Rob thought it over. “Well, it’ll take up all of your Saturday, but it sounds like a great idea. Let’s give it a shot.”
“Saturday…? Oh yeah, Saturday.”
And so began my epic foray into the world of interactive video. An all day (yes, Saturday) marathon of webcam videos. Big thanks to everyone who sent in emails and videos. Below are the results:

Thanks Alyssa for providing a much needed break. And providing some poolside eye-candy for the fellas.

This was a cinematographic nod to our director of videography, Andrew Lance Bertino (you may remember him getting a mohawk at Bonnaroo). He accidentally noticed what a cool shot it was when you filmed yourself walking around the office with your webcam on. I took the idea to the streetz.
Midnight
Pure ridiculous-ness. Congrats Matt Truman + Ego Trip and Switch! And congrats to all of our top tens. An amazing, down-to-the-wire finish.
Goodnight and good luck.
